hey all, this is ber! :)
poor candice is loaded with lots of stuff to do, and jo is busy preparing for her NS... so i'm here to help them out!


here's the programme outline for the bash:

1730 - Catering set-up
1800 - Commencement of the TKGS Softball Bash!
(food, interaction, photo-taking)
1900 - Interval games
1945 - Performance by the 'B' girls
2015 - Video by candice
2025 - Speech by coach Jo, Songs
2200 - End of event
(should have cleared up the venue by then)


Note: For the '87 batch, please report at 1700 hrs. Your help is greatly appreciated! :)

don't forget to bring $12 too. Cheryl has already done the catering stuff.

Attire for the day: jersey top of your batch, and any bottoms you want.

Numbers++

Hey all! Its been some time since i last updated.

ANYWAY, I need the numbers of people attending the bash... can i get these people to help me...

-Calista=> is it confirmed that all 4 of u guys are attending?
-Sz Wha => Can help confirm numbers from your batch, as well as the other seniors like Joanna etc. ?

-Cheryl => Check numbers from the tiger batch
-Queen => Check from the dragon batch
-Angie => Check from the snake batch

This is absolutely essential because... it'll determine how much food we'll have to order, and the amount of money we'll have to collect. Currently we have to collect S$20 from each person. Excess will go to the TKGS softball fund! And, maybe a portion to the school. Collection should be commencing soon, since the date is drawing nearer... We'll need to enlist the help of some reliable people for money matters. HMM.....

Oh yes, cheryl suggested that she could bake a large softball cake. Nice idea! but how big is big? hmm..hahah..ok la.. not everyone has to eat. Most importantly, must taste good! =)

People! I suggested previously that we choose a meaningful song, and we sing it to coach on that day, remember? It'll be a ~100 people softball choir... haha... But we need to CHOOSE a song. Well, i'm not exactly and eng songs fan, so, SUGGESTIONS!!!

AND i still do not have photos! Only Daphne and Dian mailed me the photos...ARGH... i have 5 classes at hand and i'll need alot of time to finish my video so why dont u guys cooperate and just SEND ME ANY PHOTO ON YOUR COM!?!? I cannot use those from imagestation because those are DAMN BLUR. (since we cannot view original copy if we arent premium member).

Fashion Show

ok this is kinda late, but, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

oh ya, One segment of our Beauty Pagent will include the "Jersey Fashion Parade". And SO, CAPTAINS! I need u to tell me what jersey your batch has worn, and for which year. (U can just type under comments here) I will also need the photos of someone wearing front, back and 2 sides of jersey. SO!! I'll need models for each jersey! Top only la. i dont think u guys will want to wear slacks right. BAHAHAHA! But ANYWAY, everyone will be wearing jersey tops on that day! But i really need the photos! =)

And we've decided that, EACH BATCH HAS TO SEND IN A CONTESTENT FOR THE BEAUTY PAGENT! and choose a title for that person.
(eg: Miss Orh LULU, Ms Barbie Legs, Ms Snow White etc...) Batches! coordinate and choose someone! and tell BERNICE

And I have NO PHOTOS! of the batches other than the dragons('88), rabbits('87) and tigers('86) ! Come on people. WE CANT START ON OUR VIDEO IF ME N JO DONT GET ANY PHOTOS!!!

Finalised Date!

OK! We're finalising the date for our reunion!!!

Confirming, it will be on the

18th of March, Saturday, 2006!
Time: 5pm to 9pm (tentatively)
May have a stayover for those who can and want since there should be SRC on Sunday if we get into the semis and finals. ...... i cant imagine us not getting into the semis. ....... NOOO.....

People please try to mark this out on the calendar! =)

Ok! new stuff...

Since it's going to be difficult for the Uni girls to meet on weekdays, Coach says "I dont mind sacrificing SRC la... U all can have it during the weekends, of march holidays." WOW.... that sounds.. quite wrong, but.... ERRRR.... at least Fridays or Saturdays would be better for most people, right?

I STILL HAVENT GOT PHOTOS YET!!!!......

YOOHOOO!!!

Ok! I'm getting a little confused now.

Good News! Mrs Kong is very supportive of our bash!! WHOOHO! 3 cheers for Mrs Kong! I said we wanted the hall, but she said " Acoustics not good la. And it won't be cozy.Why not the studio?" OH MY TIAN... yeah studio would be better la. But i didnt think she would trust us with all the delicate equipment and stuff. HAHA! And, the problem with studio is, it wouldnt be able to accomodate so many people! As in, if we need place to perform and stuff. Do u guys think that the studio would be better? Food wise, Mrs Kong suggested a Garden party.. we can use the tables in the central of the circular block... PROVIDED that it doesnt rain.
*(Eh.. but ultimately, we still have to get the approval of the principal. BUT i dont think she would object so much if we have the support of SO MANY teachers! Miss Lui, Mrs kong, Mdm Lee.. hehe...We really owe them manz...SO, venue SETTLED!)

Bad news, we have to shift the bash backwards... To March. Actually i dont really consider that a piece of bad news. We can have more time to prepare... and the Poly girls can help after they finish their exams! YAY! The thing is, WHEN IN MARCH? ok, I took some of your suggestions, and I asked Mrs Kong about the MARCH Hols... since their SRC matches are during weekends, we have it during the weekdays, like midweek Wed or something. Then I asked if TK girls were having Camp. ( Because if they were we could extend the last day to have an overnight thing after the bash.) Mrs Kong said no, but it could be a good idea. So a few moments ago i called coach up. She said Camp was a GOOD IDEA! "Can ask the senior girls to come and play game! Dont need to play full game la.. Just playplay only." OOPS.. apparently she misinterpreted it as, "Senior girls come for camp and PLAY and have GATHERING"

Come to think of it, it may not be such a bad idea after all... HAHA.. after all, how many of U havent been playin softball for a long time!??!?! And, its just a Fun fun kinda thing. I'm sure coach wont scold some of us for striking out now. HAHAHAHa.... However, we'll have to bathe after that, and make preparations. unless we prepare early in the morning, or day before, it'll be quite rush, no? Ah well.. any comments on this?

And people! i havent got a single picture from u guys! (other than from jo...) eh.. people with photos on imagestation, i'm sorry, but i dont have premium membership, so the photos i get from there are compressed and BLUR! unfit for video. Uh uh! so do me a favour to sent to my happy.coral@gmail.com account (dont waste the 2.6 GB mailbox la). =)

OMG I'm so glad that we're getting so many suggestions and positive responses! YEAH!! Keep it up folks! =)

Ok, Amongst the suggestions given are:
- THE LEGENDARY PAGEANT~!!!!
i cant come on 11th, coz it;s my mum's birthday~! y march so far?

- We can bring all our old jerseys and have a showcase.. that will be fun.. if possible see if we can all wear them haha..

- i want to perform on that day for coach!!! together with Felicia, Calista and Sijia!!!

- AHHH I DON'T KNOW!!!

- play games. performances,

- i tink we can bring back e beauty pageant! and we can haf a prize presentation like over the years, who is the "prettiest" softballer, "macho" softballer and coach chooses the "winners" but we come up wif cranky awards. and for the attire, each batch comes in their jersey..

- hey pig. jo here. ehh the suggestions are what we came out with that day lor.
videos, performances by a few batches, speeches, singing sessions, take pictures =)if nothing else to do then we can come up with games and lucky draws (eh ok maybe not. need $$$ to buy the gifts right? hahaha)

- Let's have have studio-like classrooms to do the photo shoots! hahahaha where will the bash be held in tk? joy here by the way.
if the thing is in march i might be able to help around. kuz i'll end sch by then.


BUT... the results of the DATE question is DISAPPOINTING.. COME ON! I ONLY HAVE 10 RESPONSES???!?!?! ok, so far,

4th Mar: 3 ppl

Yay we have our first volunteered performance!!!

And we have many people asking for BEAUTY PAGENT! It's a GREAT idea, but, yeah it'll be quite pointless if we have exactly the same story line, so... WHO WANTS TO DIRECT THE BEAUTY PAGENT?? and we NEED CONTESTANTS!!! =) =) =) =) =)

Games wise, I thought about it over the past few days... and I've got some idea... But for it to be fun... i think i'll speak with the Games I/C about this. .... OK! who wants to volunteer to be in team incharge of Games? We'll need a small group of people to do this, as well as the participation of an MC!!

And for the attire, it's a great idea to be wearing our jerseys! And yeah we can have a fashion show to showcase our jerseys by far!

Oh man.. this is getting exciting... Anymore ideas, leave a comment, or email me! (same as above).
